PROJECT SUMMARY
Golden Star Technology (GST) collaborated with Fullerton College to design and install an advanced audio-visual (A/V) solution for a classroom that was in need of AV improvements. The project aimed to enhance classroom learning and distance education capabilities by integrating cutting-edge interactive display systems, audio equipment, and video conferencing tools.
Key Tasks Included:
- Conducted a site survey to determine display and equipment placement. Coordinated with the client to ensure power and network readiness at display locations.
- Installed an 86″ 4K interactive display and a 65″ standalone standard display. Mounted ceiling speakers and connected a compact Extron amplifier. Integrated a ceiling-mounted microphone array with a digital sound processor.
- Ceiling-mounted a 1080p PTZ camera for video conferencing coverage. Connected the camera and audio systems to UC platforms using a slotted OPS and USB. Installed an Extron 7″ touch panel with controls for power, volume, and camera functions.
- Testing and Configuration: Performed acceptance testing to verify system functionality. Adjusted settings for optimal performance of all audio-visual components.
The project successfully modernized the classroom’s audio-visual capabilities, providing a seamless blend of functionality and user-friendliness. The new system enhances both in-class learning and distance education experiences, aligning with Fullerton College’s commitment to technology-driven education. GST’s adherence to best practices and thorough execution ensured the project’s timely and satisfactory completion.
