PROJECT SUMMARY

El Camino College engaged Golden Star Technology (GST) to install an outdoor digital display at the Student Center. This project involved the installation of a weatherproof, outdoor rated 55” LCD display in a lockable enclosure. The display was mounted in a portrait orientation to provide clear, high-visibility information to students and visitors outside the Student Services building.

Key Tasks Included:

  • Conducted a site survey to determine the best location, power needs, and cabling requirements.
  • Mounted the 55” outdoor-rated display in a portrait orientation with a lockable, weatherproof enclosure.
  • Ran a network cable from the IDF to the display location, ensuring proper protection against environmental wear.
  • Performed testing to confirm display functionality and reliable network connectivity.
  • Provided the client with as-built drawings, user manuals, and configuration details

The project successfully provided El Camino College with a durable, weatherproof outdoor display solution that enhances communication with students and visitors. The system’s integration into the existing network allows for easy management, ensuring that content can be updated regularly without complications. GST met the project’s objectives by adhering to industry best practices and providing a system that will continue to serve the college’s needs effectively.
