When Cypress College converted former gym spaces into instructional classrooms, the challenge extended beyond installing new technology. GST was selected to assist in the transition, carefully decommissioning, redesigning, relocating, and integrating client-owned AV systems into two newly converted classrooms. By combining system reengineering, infrastructure upgrades, custom programming, and hybrid learning technologies, GST delivered intuitive, fully integrated learning spaces while extending the life and value of the college’s existing technology assets.

Key Tasks Included: 

• Strategically decommissioned, relocated, and reengineered client-owned AV systems to maximize existing technology investments while adapting them to new classroom environments.
• Designed and integrated a complete AV ecosystem, including projection, audio, networking, videoconferencing, control systems, and supporting infrastructure for seamless classroom operation.
• Developed an intuitive touchscreen control platform that unified classroom technology and enabled seamless in-person and hybrid learning experiences through integrated conferencing solutions.

Every project presents its own set of challenges, and this one required far more than relocating equipment. It called for thoughtful engineering, strategic system redesign, and seamless integration to ensure existing technology performed like new within an entirely different environment. By combining technical expertise with a collaborative approach, GST delivered two modern instructional spaces that maximize the college’s investment while showcasing our ability to engineer customized AV solutions for even the most unique project requirements.
